Paralegal Specialist

Overview

This role is with the Litigation Services team as a Paralegal Specialist, supporting high-impact insurance defense cases involving bodily injury claims. Responsibilities span the litigation life cycle—from responding to complaints and managing discovery to preparing arbitration and trial materials. This is a remote role supporting cases in the state of Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial preparation
• Draft and file pleadings, respond to discovery, and support motion practice
• Order and track medical records; coordinate expert review and disclosures
• Prepare arbitration and trial materials, including jury instructions when applicable
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure timely service and compliance
• Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to maintain organized, high-quality case files

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum qualifications for paralegals as defined by applicable state law

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Paralegal with a focus on insurance defense or civil litigation
• Experience managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced legal environment
• Familiarity with legal procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and court filings
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation & Benefits

• $28.03 - $42.99 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Background investigation required

Location

• Remote role supporting cases in the state of Alabama
• Note: Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
