Paralegal – Sr. Contract Specialist

Overview

A technology consulting services company based in Florida is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist (Paralegal) to support Benefit Contract Management. This contract role is remote, based in Reston, VA, and involves ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in contract processes related to group and individual insurance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and revise insurance contracts, templates, and certificates
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage filings via SERFF
• Analyze contract changes and recommend filing strategies
• Review marketing and product materials for contract accuracy
• Respond to regulatory inquiries, audits, and escalations
• Interpret contract terms and resolve complex benefit-related issues
• Support Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) by developing customized contract language
• Track mandates, filings, and implementation processes
• Contribute to process improvements and cross-functional initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years experience in contract management or the health insurance domain
• Strong knowledge of health insurance products and regulations
• Excellent drafting, communication, and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
