Overview
A well-established regional full-service law firm with offices in West Virginia, Virginia, and Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time attorney to handle court-appointed matters in Berkeley County, West Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Manage court-appointed cases exclusively, including criminal defense, abuse and neglect proceedings, and juvenile delinquency/status offense cases.
- Handle all aspects of litigation related to these court-appointed cases.
- Attend all court hearings in and around Martinsburg, West Virginia.
- Meet with attorneys in the Martinsburg office as required.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in the Martinsburg area.
- Must successfully pass all required background screenings, including criminal background checks.
Work Schedule and Location
- Part-time position with a flexible schedule.
- Remote work is permitted; however, in-person attendance at the Martinsburg office and court hearings is mandatory.
