Overview
This full-time exempt position involves managing a plaintiff personal injury pre-litigation caseload through litigation and settlement. The role includes generating demand letters, initiating and overseeing litigation, negotiating pre-litigation matters, and handling related case work.
The employer is a personal injury firm serving the Atlanta area and is based in Marietta and Douglasville, Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Manage a pre-litigation and litigation caseload, including matters in federal court
- Generate and send demand letters
- Initiate and oversee the litigation process
- Negotiate pre-litigation matters and settlement proceedings
- Review and analyze the validity of cases
- Create and draft legal documents
- Organize and maintain case information
- Review applicable laws and regulations
- Maintain consistent communication during the pre-litigation phase with clients
- Work closely with case managers and other support staff during pre-litigation
- Maintain heavy communication with clients and adjusters
- Initiate welcome calls with new clients
- Gather case details, including photos, treatment information, and insurance information
- Negotiate liens and final balances with treating providers
- Correspond with medical providers to help ensure clients are receiving adequate medical treatment
- Assist with property damage when needed
Requirements
- License in good standing to practice law in Georgia (Georgia Bar required)
- Minimum of 5 years Plaintiff Personal Injury experience
- Must be able to handle all aspects of litigation, including matters with jurisdiction in federal court
- Maintain consistent communication with clients during the pre-litigation phase
- Strong client service skills

Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience with pre-litigation and litigation, including trial
- Strong negotiation skills
- Professional yet aggressive negotiation style
Compensation & Benefits
Pay
- First 90 days: guaranteed salary of $160,000
- After 90 days: base salary changes to $110,000.00
- Monthly bonus incentives of up to $10,000 per month
