Overview
This role involves leading and owning a corporate immigration practice focused on employer clients, including H-1B, L-1, PERM, E-1/E-2, and related immigration categories. The position requires full accountability for the practice's growth, quality, and profitability, managing enterprise client relationships, and driving business development.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the corporate immigration practice for a roster of employer clients.
- Own enterprise client relationships and large-scale immigration program management.
- Drive business development and marketing efforts to grow existing accounts and acquire new clients.
- Build and lead a legal team by hiring, developing, and maintaining high standards across consultations and case production.
- Utilize an AI-powered platform featuring automated workflows, smart draft review, and a unified case-context hub to enhance team performance.
- Directly manage pod profitability, with compensation tied to the health of the practice.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active U.S. bar admission.
- Minimum of 10 years of employer-side immigration experience covering H-1B, L-1, PERM, E-1/E-2, and related categories.
- Proven experience managing enterprise client relationships end to end.
- Track record of managing or developing legal teams with clear accountability for outcomes.
- Comfort with public visibility including thought leadership, social presence, and client events.
- Established professional network in HR, Legal, or People Operations.
- Ambition to build and run a practice rather than solely staff one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with aggressive service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining rigorous legal quality, and proactive client communication.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 USD.
- Profit-sharing incentives tied to client outcomes and firm performance, with higher rates for self-originated matters.
