Overview
A national law firm with multiple U.S. locations is seeking a Senior Counsel for its Private Wealth practice. Candidates with a minimum of eight years of experience are preferred. While applications from any office or virtual location will be considered, preference is given to candidates based in Dallas, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Nashville, or St. Louis.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated estate plans
- Assist individual and business clients with wealth management, asset protection, and gift and estate tax matters
- Deliver high-quality, personalized legal services with strong attention to detail
- Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of relevant experience in private wealth law
- Active bar license in the state of the office applied to, or commitment to obtain one promptly
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Exceptional judgment and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to articulate legal strategies and courses of action

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- Salary range for positions in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C.: $185,000 - $275,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience
- Salaries in other markets vary based on market data
