Overview
A global manufacturing company is seeking a procurement attorney to support high-volume contracting for direct materials used in industrial production. This role focuses on negotiating and managing agreements for raw materials and physical components used in manufacturing (e.g., metals, wiring, and other essential inputs). It is not a software or indirect procurement role.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience drafting and negotiating master purchasing agreements, a solid understanding of supply chain concepts, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This assignment is expected to run for 6 months, with potential to extend and/or convert to a FTE. The role is fully remote and requires 20–40 hours per week. Preference is given to candidates based in TX, but it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate master purchasing agreements for direct materials and physical components used in industrial production
- Manage contracting needs for high-volume procurement of raw materials and essential inputs (e.g., metals, wiring)
- Support procurement and supply chain contracting activities with practical understanding of sourcing materials and components used in production
- Work independently to manage agreements in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Requirements
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating master purchasing agreements
- Solid understanding of supply chain concepts
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Experience supporting manufacturing operations and physical products, including working closely with procurement and supply chain teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial companies
- Hands-on experience with sourcing and procurement of materials/components used in production
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly rate: $110–$115 (estimate)
- Compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law
