Overview
This role is part of the organization’s global legal team, supporting contract negotiations and providing commercial and regulatory legal advice across the money transfer business.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee contract negotiations for a broad range of commercial agreements across the money transfer division.
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including:
- Complex financial services agreements with domestic and international digital partners (financial institutions, service providers, fintech, and other partners).
- License agreements, including SaaS agreements, for digital solutions in the financial services space.
- Non-disclosure agreements and letters of intent.
- Online consumer terms and conditions (drafting and updates).
- Work with the Marketing team on consumer-facing materials and agreements.
- Support internal legal and business stakeholders in expanding into new geographies.
- Develop and recommend positions on legal issues and provide analysis and advice related to contractual and legal compliance, including data privacy, regulatory matters, marketing, disputes, and vendor management.
- Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure agreements align with company strategy, requirements, and policies.
- Anticipate and help manage legal risks; advise senior management on risk management.
- Contribute to updating legal operations processes, including creation of templates and participation in the rollout of legal processes.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor and 5 to 7 years of legal experience.
- Substantial experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements with domestic and international business partners and multi-jurisdictional matters.
- Prior experience in financial services, payment processing, and/or the technology/digital industry.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders; ability to provide clear, succinct advice.
- Excellent time management skills to meet time-critical deadlines and the ability to multitask while serving multiple internal clients.

- Colorado salary range: $135,000-$175,000. Actual starting salary may vary based on geographic location, work experience, and skills.
