Overview
This role involves serving as Product & Technology Counsel for a leading AI-driven digital work platform. The position supports product, engineering, security, and alliances teams by providing legal guidance throughout the product lifecycle. It includes negotiating complex technology partnerships, OEM agreements, and embedded-technology deals. The role reports to Senior Managing Counsel – Product & IP and offers substantial autonomy in a fast-moving, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to product, engineering, security, and alliances teams across all product families.
- Lead negotiation and structuring of technology alliances, strategic integrations, OEM arrangements, embedded-technology, and marketplace deals.
- Advise on legal, regulatory, data, and security issues related to product design, functionality, interoperability, and third-party integrations.
- Support commercial and channel partner agreement negotiations involving product teams.
- Assist with intellectual property matters including patents, trade secrets, trademarks, and copyrights.
- Develop scalable legal frameworks, guidance, processes, and training to enable rapid product and engineering progress while managing risk.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts on specialized risk areas and escalate issues as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance legal team efficiency, including automation or AI-enabled workflows.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree.
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in-house at a technology company.
- Extensive experience negotiating complex technology alliances, integration partnerships, OEM agreements, and embedded-technology deals.
- Ability to translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex matters and exercise strong judgment in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Broad issue-spotting skills across privacy, security, intellectual property, regulatory, and product-related domains.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

- Experience with patent licensing, litigation, or portfolio management.
- Experience supporting global product launches or cross-border regulatory issues.
- Knowledge of open-source licensing, developer tools, or software supply chain matters.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: USD $152,812 to $254,000 per year.
- Eligibility for participation in a corporate bonus program.
- Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, education, and skills.
