Overview

A national law firm with offices in all 50 states is seeking Professional Liability Attorneys for its Sacramento office. This position offers the possibility of remote work from home.

The role is open to near entry-level attorneys with some litigation experience. Ideal candidates will have two to four years of experience specializing in medical malpractice and professional liability matters. Training will be provided to defend complex healthcare facility cases with high exposure. Attorneys will collaborate with a national team of experienced litigators and work under the guidance of a seasoned leader and trial attorney with expertise in various fields including construction, transportation, cargo, tort and product liability, intellectual property, elder abuse, medical malpractice, real estate, and cyber-liability.

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and may be located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Defend complex medical malpractice and professional liability cases involving healthcare facilities
  • Collaborate with a national team of litigators
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Participate in trial preparation and potentially trial proceedings
  • Manage assignments with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Admission to the California Bar
  • Two to four years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice and professional liability
  • Strong academic background
  • Excellent litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills
  • Proven research skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $275,000 annually, depending on experience and role level:
    • Associates (1-6+ years): $100,000–$165,000
    • Senior Counsel/Of Counsel (5+ years): $140,000–$215,000
    • Partners (7+ years): $190,000–$275,000+
