Overview
This role is for contract psychiatrists joining the provider network supporting evidence-based mental health care for children, adolescents, and young adults. Responsibilities include delivering virtual psychiatric services through live video intake and follow-up appointments, conducting psychiatric evaluations, and providing medication management. The position emphasizes whole-person, whole-family care, culturally responsive treatment, and collaboration within a connected clinical network.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
- Provide evidence-based treatment using proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
- Support a family-centered approach by educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and offering guidance on supportive measures at home.
- Deliver virtual psychiatric care through live video sessions while maintaining a high-quality, supportive experience.
- Participate in collaborative care activities, including team meetings and consultative support to other team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes; use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
- Ensure ethics and compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards, including ongoing professional development and ethical, patient-centered care practices.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required
- Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy)
