Overview
This contract psychiatrist role supports a virtual and in-person provider network delivering evidence-based, whole-person and whole-family mental health care. The position involves psychiatric evaluations and medication management via live video visits, along with ongoing follow-up care. The work includes culturally responsive treatment and collaboration within a connected care network.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
- Provide evidence-based treatment using proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
- Take a family-centered approach by educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance on supportive measures at home.
- Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions and ensure a high-quality, supportive experience for patients and families using available technology.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes; use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards; complete ongoing professional development; practice ethically with a patient-centered approach.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required
- Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance

- Telehealth experience in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy)
