Overview
The organization is seeking contract psychiatrists to provide whole-person, whole-family mental health care within a connected provider network. This role supports culturally responsive, evidence-based treatment delivered through virtual services and ongoing clinical collaboration.
As a contract psychiatrist, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management via live video intake appointments and regular follow-up appointments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s developmental stage.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, using proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
- Take a family-centered approach by fostering a collaborative treatment environment, educating families about mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and offering guidance for supportive measures at home.
- Deliver care virtually by conducting video psychiatric sessions and leveraging technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes; use data analytics to assess outcomes and help improve care quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and practice in an ethical, patient-centered manner.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework.
- Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required.
