Overview
The organization is seeking contract psychiatrists to provide whole-person, whole-family mental health care as part of a connected provider network. This role supports culturally responsive, evidence-based care for patients with diverse backgrounds and needs.
Responsibilities include delivering psychiatric evaluations and medication management through live virtual intake and follow-up appointments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s developmental stage.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including medication management strategies and proven therapeutic techniques, to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders.
- Use a family-centered approach by collaborating with families, educating them on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and providing guidance for supportive measures at home.
- Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions, ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience while leveraging technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members for comprehensive member care.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes.
- Use data analytics to assess outcomes and continuously improve care quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards; engage in ongoing professional development and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state.
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with computer and live video tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.).
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines, with competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Telehealth therapy experience in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy).
