Overview
The organization is seeking contract psychiatrists to provide whole-person, whole family mental health care within a connected provider network. This role supports easily accessible, culturally responsive, high-quality care through a combination of live video intake and ongoing follow-up appointments.
Providers work with individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and needs, using evidence-based approaches and a family-centered model.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage.
- Provide evidence-based treatment, including medication management strategies to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions.
- Support a family-centered approach by educating families on mental health issues, involving them in care planning, and offering guidance on supportive measures at home.
- Deliver virtual psychiatric care (live sessions), ensuring a high-quality and supportive experience while leveraging technology to maintain regular communication with members and families.
- Participate in team meetings, contribute to collaborative care planning, and provide consultative support to other team members.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, care plans, and progress notes; use data analytics to assess outcomes and improve care quality.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards, engage in ongoing professional development, and commit to ethical, patient-centered care practices.
Requirements
- Board-certified or -eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
- Experience providing telehealth therapy services in a virtual environment (video and teletherapy) preferred but not required
- Computer and live video tools literacy (e.g., Zoom, Google Meets, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
- Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults
- Commitment to and familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and competency in practicing within an accredited framework to ensure safety, quality, and compliance
