Remote Counsel - Senior Level

Overview

A partner organization is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to work remotely. This role involves managing contracts and providing legal guidance across multiple departments. The position requires expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate law to help navigate the organization's legal matters effectively. Collaboration with various stakeholders and contributing to process improvements while ensuring compliance with legal standards are key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including SaaS agreements and vendor service contracts.
• Implement process improvements for contract workflows from sales through operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
• Advise corporate functions on enforceability and risks related to contract disputes.
• Provide legal support on contract matters to internal stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research to support negotiations and resolve issues.
• Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs.
• Manage outside counsel regarding litigation and other legal matters.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• 5-7 years of experience in contract drafting and negotiation, preferably in-house.
• Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in risk management and litigation.
