Overview

A rapidly growing national debt relief law firm is seeking a New Jersey-licensed attorney to manage consumer debt resolution cases and consult with clients on a fully remote basis. This role focuses on client interaction and relationship management rather than courtroom litigation or document review assembly line work.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct phone consultations with prospective and current clients regarding debt resolution options and account status
  • Educate and guide clients through each stage of the debt resolution process, ensuring understanding of rights, obligations, and next steps
  • Manage an active caseload of consumer debt resolution files from intake through resolution
  • Oversee and provide guidance on settlement negotiations handled by firm staff
  • Review and approve legal documents prepared by paralegals prior to filing or client delivery
  • Conduct periodic file reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards
  • Serve as a trusted legal resource for staff and clients
  • Provide legal assistance and guidance to firm staff and clients as needed
  • Maintain professionalism and customer service across a high volume of client interactions

Requirements

  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey, in good standing with the State Bar of New Jersey
  • Reliable access to a computer and proficiency with standard business software in a remote work environment
  • Strong phone-based communication skills with patience and professionalism to guide clients through numerous consultations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in debtor/creditor, collections, or bankruptcy law
  • Experience in consumer debt defense

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting salary of $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience
