Overview

The organization is seeking an associate for its Products Liability practice group. This is a reduced schedule, non-partnership track role with a target of 1,400 hours and a remote work arrangement.

The Products Liability practice group defends product manufacturers, suppliers, and resellers as trial and global coordinating counsel in product liability and toxic tort matters, including cases involving industries such as AI/robotics, automotive and autonomous vehicles, consumer products, food and wine, connected products, medical devices, pharmaceutical, retail and cosmetics, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage product liability or commercial litigation matters with a high degree of autonomy
  • Draft briefs and correspondence
  • Respond to written discovery
  • Manage document collection, review, and production
  • Support work related to causation and/or failure analysis
  • Handle matters including multidistrict litigation and/or coordinated state proceedings
  • Provide excellent client service

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience
  • Reduced schedule of 1,400 hours
  • Products Liability or Commercial Litigation (required)
  • Strong case management skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Active member of the bar in the state in which you reside and in a state in which the organization has an office or are eligible to waive into one of those states
  • Willing to work on west coast time if not located in the west coast region of the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with causation and/or failure analysis
  • Experience in multidistrict litigation and/or coordinated state proceedings

  • Annual salary: $150,000 (for all locations where this position is posted)
