Overview
A partner organization is seeking a Senior Product & Commercial Counsel to provide legal support that influences the development and monetization of innovative products. This role involves navigating regulatory risks and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams. The position focuses on ensuring compliance and efficiency while shaping the legal strategy for a flagship SaaS platform aligned with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Advise product and engineering teams on new features and iterations for the SaaS platform.
- Provide legal guidance on consumer protection, advertising, and data compliance.
- Identify and address regulatory risks early in the product development process.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements to support business operations.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams with customer terms and promotional strategies.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house at a technology company.
- Experience with product launches, ideally in SaaS or fintech sectors.
- Knowledge of subscription and advertising regulations.
- Strong legal and analytical skills with effective communication abilities.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to a state bar.
- Familiarity with AI and emerging technology issues is a plus.
