Overview

A leading global e-commerce and technology organization is seeking a Risk Manager to join their Legal Escalations & Discovery (LE&D) program within the Risk Mitigation, Escalation Reduction, and Quality Assurance (REs-Q) team. This role focuses on addressing legal escalations such as demand letters, investigation requests related to active legal proceedings and arbitration hearings, regulatory requests, and data requests to mitigate critical legal risks. The position involves root cause analysis of escalations, identifying preventative solutions, and driving initiatives across global teams to enhance abuse detection, enforcement, and prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, manage, and resolve time-sensitive legal escalations.
  • Analyze data from various sources to detect potential risk indicators.
  • Perform incident triage including determining scope, urgency, impact, and recommending remediation.
  • Analyze escalations to determine root causes and identify preventative actions.
  • Track and document incidents from detection through resolution.
  • Write and publish reports, guidance, and techniques based on incident findings.
  • Coordinate with analysts to correlate risk assessment data.
  • Draft and present detailed reports on policy and process gaps to senior executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating and editing content for internal and external audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Research and investigation skills or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in relevant industries such as law, customer service, investigations, risk, compliance, or project management.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range: $74,200 to $129,800 annually (location dependent).
  • Additional compensation includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
