Overview
This role involves supporting the growth of an institutional and enterprise business within the digital asset and financial services sector. The position focuses on providing legal and regulatory advice related to B2B, B2B2B, and B2B2C partnerships across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work closely with Business Development, Compliance, Product, Risk, and senior stakeholders to structure partnerships, assess risks, support due diligence, negotiate agreements, and assist in launching innovative products.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical legal and regulatory advice on strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, fintechs, and other enterprise clients.
- Represent the organization in legal and regulatory discussions with prospective and existing partners.
- Support enterprise due diligence processes, respond to legal and compliance questionnaires, and address regulatory queries.
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements including partnership, technology, API, outsourcing, licensing, and confidentiality contracts.
- Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering teams to assess legal and regulatory implications of new products and services.
- Monitor developments in financial services and digital asset regulation, translate legal requirements into practical guidance, and contribute to governance frameworks.
Requirements
- University degree in Law is highly desirable; alternatively, relevant professional experience in reviewing, drafting, and providing legal feedback on commercial and partnership agreements within a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with European financial services regulation such as MiCAR, MiFID, PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, or outsourcing requirements is a strong advantage.
- Experience supporting regulated financial services, fintech, banking, payments, digital assets, or other regulated industries in compliance, legal, regulatory, or commercial advisory roles.
- Experience working with enterprise customers, financial institutions, or strategic partners is highly desirable.
- Ability to balance legal and regulatory considerations with business objectives, providing practical, solution-oriented advice.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex legal and regulatory concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German; professional proficiency in German is required.

The role is based in Europe with flexibility to work remotely or onsite in various locations. Professional proficiency in German is required, indicating a preference for candidates able to operate in German-speaking environments.
