Overview

A leading organization in the Alternative Legal Service Provider (ALSP) market is seeking a Senior Contract Associate to join their team in Wroclaw. This role involves supporting clients by drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts and providing general support to clients' contracts management and in-house legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver services in compliance with all client commitments as part of a dedicated team
  • Draft and negotiate various contracts including content and development contracts, software development contracts, professional and consulting services contracts, staffing contracts, licensing contracts, other IP/IT contracts, and general commercial contracts
  • Mentor and train junior team members to develop their negotiation skills
  • Assist the Delivery Lead by managing complex negotiations and providing oversight and quality control for junior team members, some of whom may be new to negotiation
  • Adhere to delivery processes and commitments
  • Identify opportunities to improve client negotiation processes and strengthen long-term client relationships
  • Manage and update data on internal and client systems
  • Help develop contract templates, playbooks, and other tools for team use
  • Stay current on legal and relevant industry developments
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement and adding value to client engagements

Requirements

  • Law degree and/or legally qualified
  • Legally eligible to work in Poland (role based in Wroclaw)
  • Minimum 4 years of demonstrable experience independently drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, in-house legal team, or similar environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to operate with substantial autonomy and minimal supervision
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience working directly with business managers
  • Legal expertise to act as a senior advisor and escalation point for junior team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Microsoft Word
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Familiarity with recognized matter management systems as part of daily work
