Overview
This role involves providing expert antitrust legal counsel within a large healthcare and well-being organization. The position supports enterprise senior leaders and outside counsel on complex antitrust issues arising from organic growth, acquisitions, and various business initiatives under U.S. and international competition laws.
The role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Interact with enterprise senior leaders and outside counsel on complex legal issues
- Develop, translate, and execute legal strategies for the enterprise
- Serve as internal antitrust counsel to navigate competition issues related to organic growth and acquisitions under national and international laws and regulations
- Provide antitrust guidance on litigation, mergers and acquisitions, procurement, licensing agreements, employment matters, and data ownership, use, release, and governance
- Consult and advise legal and business colleagues on business initiatives that may raise antitrust or anti-competitive risks
- Assist in responding to governmental and third-party subpoenas and inquiries
- Advise on potential conflicts of interest, including mitigation and remediation
- Develop and conduct antitrust training in coordination with compliance teams
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant antitrust experience
- Experience working on healthcare antitrust issues, including those involving health plans, care delivery organizations, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), and pharmacies
- Deep knowledge of U.S. competition laws, including counseling, litigation, government investigations, and merger reviews
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in government roles
- Experience with vertically integrated healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with international competition laws and compliance and ethics frameworks for global corporations related to competition law issues and programs
- Willingness to adhere to the organization's Telecommuter Policy when working remotely
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $159,300 - $273,200 annually (based on full-time employment and factors such as local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications)
