Overview

This role involves providing overall team support for managing enterprise client accounts or multiple mid-market accounts in the field of business immigration. The Senior Business Immigration Case Manager will exercise independent judgment and apply extensive immigration legal experience to ensure the immigration needs of enterprise clients are met. The position supports attorneys and senior staff with specific initiatives, manages communications, meets service level agreements (SLAs), handles reporting, and delivers excellent client service and a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case strategy meetings, client development activities, town hall meetings, and legal seminars for clients
  • Review immigration petitions prepared by Paralegals and Senior Paralegals, identifying and helping to resolve current or potential issues
  • Support attorneys and senior staff with legal staff training initiatives, updating processes, procedures, and technologies
  • Oversee case assignments to Paralegal and Senior Paralegal staff to ensure balanced workloads
  • Assist with drafting case documents, statutory forms, and templated letters of support for various non-immigrant visa (NIV) and PERM applications, including petitions for key accounts and enterprise clients
  • Generate reports on visa processing metrics for internal measurement and client feedback
  • Use discretion and experience to identify and resolve case preparation problems for attorney review as needed
  • Ensure client needs are met and update the team on communication and protocol changes
  • Provide training, guidance, updates, and mentoring to Paralegals and Senior Paralegals
  • Attend weekly docket calls, prepare agendas for visa processing-related client calls, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support operational efficiency and productivity
  • Manage ad-hoc requests from attorneys and senior staff
  • Utilize online immigration case tracking systems daily to monitor case status and activities
  • Promote positive team morale, including within a remote work environment
  • Ensure SLA requirements for all assigned clients are consistently met and remain accountable for deliverables of legal team members
  • Assist with client program management tasks as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree completed (highly desirable)
  • 7+ years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions, including complex cases and/or high-profile/enterprise clients
  • Experience drafting petitions for a range of NIV cases preferred (H1B, L, TN, O-1) and/or experience with green card processes (I-140, Adjustment of Status) and end-to-end PERM applications preferred
  • Experience allocating cases and leading, encouraging, and training less experienced team members
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word)
  • Genuine interest in U.S. immigration with an empathetic approach to clients and foreign nationals
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring consistent accuracy
  • Ability to follow due process, templates, and adapt to evolving industry innovations
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to case processing software for monitoring visa petitions
  • Excellent understanding and application of legal ethical principles

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $65,000 - $105,000
