Overview
A reputable law firm affiliated with a global immigration technology provider is seeking a Senior Business Immigration Paralegal to join their fully remote team based in the United States. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on preparing and compiling immigration petitions and applications for attorney review, as well as managing client and foreign national communications for key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze documents for validity and immigration status during intake.
- Draft case documents, statutory forms, templated letters of support, and various non-immigrant visa (NIV) petitions for key clients.
- Identify and flag potential case issues promptly to attorneys or senior case managers.
- Prepare timely responses to requests for evidence.
- Monitor case status daily using an online immigration case tracking system.
- Coordinate with Client Support Specialists on printing, scanning, and mailing of case materials.
- Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding case processing and status.
- Prioritize workload to meet fluctuating client deadlines with appropriate urgency.
- Suggest process improvements to attorneys or case managers.
- Assist team members with case or document preparation as needed.
- Contribute positively to team morale in a remote work environment.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience as an Immigration Paralegal, specifically drafting complex immigration matters.
- Bachelor's degree highly desirable.
- Strong interest in U.S. immigration and an empathetic approach to client and foreign national interactions.
- Experience independently handling a range of NIV cases such as H-1B, L, TN, O-1, etc.
- Experience drafting green card processes including I-140 and Adjustment of Status (AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications preferred.
- Ability to manage a high volume of active and inactive cases simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong spelling and grammar.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy.
- Experience communicating directly with HR staff and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload effectively.
- Proficiency with computer systems and ability to adapt to specialized immigration case processing software.
- Ability to follow established processes, templates, and adapt to evolving industry innovations.
- Minimum intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).
- Friendly, courteous, respectful demeanor and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $50,000 - $80,000
