Overview
A leading organization in the Technical Services sector is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join their team remotely within the United States. This role involves supporting high-impact legal work that directly influences business performance and team success. The position requires collaboration across multiple functions to advance priorities, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable outcomes. It offers the opportunity to shape both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.
Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $222,779 – $275,355 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead strategy and negotiation for high-value B2B SaaS and on-premises agreements
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop deal structures and negotiation strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address complex commercial and operational challenges
- Enhance legal forms and negotiation playbooks to ensure consistency and scalability
- Support global initiatives, including privacy and security programs
Requirements
- JD or equivalent U.S. law degree with active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of 8 years of commercial legal experience, preferably in technology or SaaS sectors
- Proven ability to independently lead high-stakes enterprise negotiations, including on customer paper
- Strong understanding of data protection and privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA, along with compliance frameworks
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with effective communication abilities at all organizational levels
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Grafana, SaaS platforms, and open-source licensing
- Knowledge of HIPAA, B2B agreements, data processing agreements, and information security agreements
- Familiarity with channel partner agreements, privacy law compliance, and security frameworks
- Expertise in negotiation strategies
