Overview

This role involves providing legal counsel and support to sales and professional services teams across the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Benelux. The focus is on advising, structuring, and negotiating complex SaaS subscription agreements and related commercial contracts with large, strategic clients, including those in highly regulated industries such as banking, finance, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Advise, draft, and negotiate outbound SaaS master subscription agreements and ancillary commercial documents (amendments, NDAs, SOWs) primarily for large, strategic accounts.
  • Provide prompt and effective day-to-day legal support to sales and internal clients.
  • Collaborate with revenue recognition, deal desk, sales operations, privacy, security, and other internal teams to ensure agreements comply with internal policies and processes.
  • Build strong relationships with sales, legal colleagues, and key stakeholders to deliver practical legal and strategic advice.
  • Assess legal risks and recommend courses of action.
  • Determine when to escalate issues as necessary.
  • Support continuous improvement of standard legal templates, playbooks, policies, and processes related to commercial transactions.
  • Participate in go-to-market initiatives and contribute to other legal projects as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of transactional legal experience drafting and negotiating enterprise-level technology agreements, including SaaS subscription agreements, cloud services agreements, technology licenses, professional services agreements, statements of work, ordering documents, NDAs, and amendments.
  • At least 4 years of in-house legal experience with a large technology vendor providing transactional support.
  • Significant experience supporting sales teams engaging with large, strategic European accounts, including those in regulated sectors such as finance, banking, and healthcare.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex deals, prioritize deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, quarter-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence advising senior sales leadership and internal stakeholders on complex commercial matters.
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS business model, revenue recognition principles, enterprise cloud computing, complex deal structures, and relevant data privacy and security frameworks.
  • Demonstrated urgency in supporting revenue transactions.
  • Sound legal and business judgment, excellent drafting skills, and the ability to provide strategic, practical advice balancing legal and business objectives.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
  • Personable, self-motivated team player willing to engage hands-on.
  • Strong academic background and current eligibility to practice law in Ireland, the United Kingdom, or another EU country.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual base salary range for candidates located in Ireland: €128,000 to €176,000 EUR.
  • Additional compensation includes equity (where applicable), bonus, comprehensive healthcare coverage, paid time off, and parental leave according to applicable plans and policies.

Location

This position supports sales and professional services organizations in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Benelux regions. Candidates must be eligible to practice law in Ireland, the United Kingdom, or another EU country.
