Overview
A healthcare-focused organization is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel to provide legal advice on a broad range of commercial and non-commercial contracts, as well as support regulatory, compliance, and privacy requirements. This role reports to the Deputy General Counsel and collaborates closely with other senior legal team members and business executives.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including Supply, Material Transfer, Distribution, Research, Consulting, Quality, Technology, and Licensing agreements.
- Support healthcare compliance efforts, including analysis of contractual rebates and discount offers to ensure adherence to Anti-Kickback Statute and healthcare regulations.
- Apply working knowledge of GDPR to review and negotiate data processing agreements and related privacy documents.
- Monitor and address changing regulations, industry trends, and technology developments to support innovation and growth while maintaining appropriate legal protections.
- Lead or assist with legal department projects aimed at improving transaction and contracting efficiency and scaling without increasing risk.
- Adapt to a dynamic and expanding work environment.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to practice law in the United States.
- Minimum of 10 years of in-house legal experience handling a wide range of commercial and non-commercial transactions.
- Experience managing a large volume of contracts, including maintaining relevant metrics.
- Preferred experience with medical device or life science companies.
- Experience with international distribution agreements and related documentation to support global growth strategies.
- Additional expertise in intellectual property or privacy law is preferred.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to learn new skills and work effectively in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $168,828 to $211,034 USD annually.
