Overview
This role requires an active California Bar license.
The organization is growing in the Inland Empire and is building a future office in Redlands. The opening is for experienced Senior Counsel-level litigators who can independently handle cases, serve as trusted leaders, and help build the teams around them.
Responsibilities
- Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
- Develop compelling case themes
- Manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
- Work as part of a team with attorneys at all experience levels
- Communicate routinely with clients
- Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients
- Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
Requirements
- JD from an ABA approved school
- Must be licensed in California
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
- Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage discovery and motion practice
- Ability to prepare matters for trial and, when appropriate, ask for input to strengthen a case
- Experience with time management systems
- Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling insurance defense matters
- First- or second-chair trial experience
- Background experience in medical malpractice, professional liability, construction defect, and related defense practices
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
- Annual billable hours bonus: ranging from $10,000, then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier

Location
- Inland Empire, with work currently supported through collaborative office space
- Permanent office is planned for the Redlands-area
- Cases are predominantly based throughout the Inland Empire, though attorneys may handle matters outside the immediate region
