Overview

This role is for a senior attorney position supporting insurance defense and trial advocacy. An active bar license in the State of New Mexico is required. The position offers flexibility with office, hybrid, or remote work options depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a case theme that is more compelling than any plaintiff approach for sympathy or anger
  • Maintain high standards and consistently reject mediocrity
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels
  • Conduct routine client communications
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA approved school
  • Must be licensed in your state
  • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
  • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Annual billable hours bonus: $10,000, then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier
