Overview
This role is for a senior attorney position focused on insurance defense and trial advocacy. The employer is seeking an experienced litigator with courtroom confidence, leadership ability, and a strategic approach to managing high-stakes matters.
Bar requirement: An active bar license in the State of California is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop persuasive case themes for defense strategies.
- Handle matters with a commitment to exceeding average outcomes.
- Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials.
- Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels.
- Conduct routine communications with clients.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys.
Requirements
- JD from an ABA approved school.
- Must be licensed in your state.
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation.
- Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial.
- Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred.
- Experience with time management systems.
- Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $160,000–$190,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Annual billable hours bonus: $10,000, then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier.
