Overview

A national litigation firm specializing in insurance defense is seeking experienced senior attorneys to join their team. This role requires courtroom confidence, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to handle high-exposure cases and contribute to the firm's growth.

Bar License Requirement: Active bar license in the State of Pennsylvania is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling case themes that surpass plaintiff arguments
  • Maintain high standards, refusing to accept mediocrity
  • Independently manage court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
  • Collaborate effectively with team members of varying experience levels
  • Communicate routinely with clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced attorneys

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation
  • Proven ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial
  • Experience in insurance defense matters preferred
  • Familiarity with time management systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership in managing litigation teams
  • Experience mentoring junior attorneys
  • Strong strategic thinking and courtroom presence

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional bonuses of $7,500 for each subsequent tier
