Overview
This role involves joining a nationally focused insurance defense practice as a Senior Attorney. The position emphasizes courtroom advocacy, strategic case leadership, and collaboration across all experience levels.
Please note: An active bar license in the State of Washington is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling case themes aligned with defense strategy
- Handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials independently
- Manage routine communications with clients
- Work collaboratively with attorneys at all experience levels
- Cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients
- Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys
- Manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial preparation
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved school
- Must be licensed in your state
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
- Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
- Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience with time management systems
- Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $145,000–$180,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
- Annual billable hours bonus: $10,000 and then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier
