Overview
A Senior Counsel position is available to join the Commercial Legal Team, providing essential legal support to North America-based Sales Teams. This role focuses on commercial and legal issues related to enterprise SaaS agreements and other commercial contracts.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line, client-centric legal support to North America Sales teams on commercial and legal matters
- Review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, master services agreements, data processing agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, and statements of work
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Deal Desk stakeholders to understand business objectives and challenges, driving strategic improvements
- Partner with internal technology teams to develop AI-powered tools and processes that enhance business impact
- Work alongside legal, compliance, and cross-functional teams to balance customer needs with effective risk management
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited law school
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant in-house legal experience
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law as a member of a State Bar Association or equivalent
- Significant experience independently negotiating Enterprise SaaS contracts; experience in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services or Healthcare is a plus
- Excellent legal drafting and writing skills
- Strong foundation in data protection and privacy law
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders to understand strategic goals and provide informed legal recommendations
- Capable of making decisions and explaining rationale clearly to team members
- Efficient and effective working style in a fast-paced, transparent environment
- Willingness to deliver innovative solutions beyond existing playbooks
- Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach
- Comfortable integrating technology and AI tools into daily legal practice
- Strong relationship-building skills based on trust
- Excellent communication skills, especially via internal tools such as Slack and Zoom

Compensation & Benefits
- Annual cash compensation range: $160,000 to $240,000 USD
- Compensation includes base salary, on-target commission (if applicable), and annual bonus targets
- Some roles may be eligible for equity participation through restricted stock units (RSUs)

Location & Work Environment
- Flexible work arrangements including remote and office-based options
- New hires in Engineering roles are required to attend in-person onboarding at a regional office
