Overview
A leading organization in the Technical Services sector is seeking a Senior Counsel to join their team. This role focuses on initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI-enabled capabilities, and business transformation. The position involves collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation.
Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available)
Compensation: $160,000 – $240,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support to North America Sales teams on commercial matters
- Review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
- Collaborate with Sales and Deal Desk teams to drive strategic improvements
- Partner with technology teams to build AI-powered tools that impact business operations
- Work alongside legal and compliance groups to mitigate risks while serving customers
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience
- Licensed to practice law and in good standing
- Experience negotiating Enterprise SaaS contracts; experience in regulated industries is a plus
- Strong legal drafting and writing skills
- Foundational knowledge of data protection and privacy law
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and legal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS agreements, data processing agreements, master services agreements, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, and statements of work
- Background in highly regulated industries such as Financial Services or Healthcare
- Familiarity with AI-powered legal tools and legal compliance technology (e.g., compliance management systems)
- Proficiency with collaboration software such as Slack and Zoom
