Overview
This role involves serving as Senior Counsel for Global Commercial Legal focusing on U.S. Market Access and Pricing, with an emphasis on government price reporting. The position reports to the Associate General Counsel for Global Commercial Legal - U.S. Market Access and Pricing.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel for Government Price Reporting functions related to federal government price reporting requirements.
- Advise U.S. Market Access and Pricing teams on price reporting, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act matters.
- Offer strategic legal advice to senior management on product pricing and market access issues.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate complex government agreements.
- Develop policies, conduct training, and provide legal assistance on compliance matters.
- Resolve routine legal issues independently and assist with complex legal matters on cross-functional projects.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the business and stay updated on relevant legal changes.
- Manage outside counsel, define project objectives, and oversee legal projects.
- Advise managers and directors on legal matters impacting business operations.
- Operate within budget constraints and assist in budget development for legal matters.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction where the office is located or ability to obtain licensure.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, including pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Proficiency in government price reporting requirements such as AMP, Best Price, ASP, and 340B.
- Knowledge of federal health care program contracting (e.g., Medicaid, VA).
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage high-visibility, high-impact projects.
- Demonstrated ability to identify practical legal solutions and work effectively in complex, high-pressure environments.

- Base pay range is determined in good faith based on job grade and geographic location; actual pay may vary.
