Overview

This senior attorney role focuses on insurance defense and trial advocacy. The organization is seeking an experienced litigator to lead high-exposure matters, handle significant court activity independently, and provide direction to less experienced attorneys.

Please note: An active bar license in the State of Texas is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling case themes
  • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
  • Manage matters as part of a team across all levels of experience
  • Communicate routinely with clients
  • Cultivate relationships with current and prospective clients
  • Provide leadership and direction for less experienced attorneys

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA approved school
  • Must be licensed in your state (Texas active bar license required)
  • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition and trial preparation
  • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial
  • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $150,000—$200,000 USD annually (depending on experience and qualifications)

  • Annual billable hours bonus: $10,000, then aggregating with $7,500 for every additional tier
