Overview
A growing technology company is seeking a Senior Counsel to support and scale its legal, commercial, and privacy operations. This role will provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel across a wide range of commercial and operational matters, with a focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Reporting to the General Counsel and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, marketing, product, partnerships, and executive leadership, the Senior Counsel will help navigate legal risks while enabling business growth.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, partnership, and SaaS contracts.
- Provide practical legal guidance to teams across sales, marketing, product, HR, and leadership to support business growth.
- Support privacy and security teams on privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Identify legal and operational risks and offer clear, business-oriented recommendations.
- Develop scalable legal processes, templates, and workflows to improve organizational efficiency.
- Assist with corporate, operational, and strategic legal matters as the company expands.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
- Minimum of 4 years of legal experience, preferably combining large law firm and in-house roles.
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Proven ability to advise business stakeholders on legal and operational risks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable working fully remote with occasional travel.

- Experience implementing AI-assisted legal workflows and contract management.
- Background in technology, ecommerce, SaaS, advertising, or digital media sectors.
- Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills.
