Overview

A legal counsel position is available to support a growing government-focused business line specializing in information technology services sales to federal, state, local, and international government customers. This role involves managing compliance and contracting issues related to government sales, including facilities clearance, security compliance, contract management, bid protests, claims, disputes, and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated legal support for government-related business activities.
  • Collaborate with legal subject matter experts on issues related to artificial intelligence products.
  • Utilize AI tools and automation to scale legal support efficiently.
  • Manage compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • Review and negotiate contracts.
  • Handle bid protests and claims management.
  • Oversee ethics and compliance specific to federal contracting.
  • Ensure data privacy and security compliance, including standards such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FISMA.
  • Address lobbying and government affairs restrictions.
  • Manage False Claims Act (FCA) risk.
  • Oversee supply chain management and flow-down requirements.
  • Coordinate audits and reporting obligations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience.
  • In-house legal experience at a technology company with significant government business.
  • Proven experience negotiating complex technology transactions with government customers across federal, state, local, and international levels.
  • Broad knowledge of government procurement regulations, including FAR and federal contracting.
  • Experience advising on government contracting compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale legal support through automation, particularly using AI tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $297,000 to $330,000 annually.
