Overview

A leading organization in the Technical Services sector is seeking a Senior Counsel specializing in Transactions with a focus on Enterprise Payments and Ecosystem. This role involves providing business-aligned legal guidance centered on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. The position requires collaboration with leadership, compliance teams, and cross-functional groups to translate complex legal issues into practical recommendations that support responsible execution, improved decision-making, and sustainable growth.

Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available)

Compensation: $230,000 – $297,500 annually

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Enterprise, Payments, and Ecosystem teams on commercial transactions
  • Negotiate and draft complex fintech and payments agreements on a global scale
  • Develop and update contract templates for new products and services
  • Improve legal workflow processes to enhance service delivery to business teams
  • Assist with contract management for enterprise platforms and payment companies
  • Monitor trends in digital assets and blockchain technology to provide informed transactional advice

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or foreign equivalent degree
  • Active membership in at least one U.S. State Bar
  • Minimum of 10 years of legal experience in global commercial transactions, preferably within fintech and technology sectors
  • Extensive experience drafting and negotiating complex fintech and financial services agreements
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory issues related to payments, stablecoins, and digital assets
  • Ability to support international business operations across multiple regions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with financial services and enterprise software contracts
  • Exposure to Asia-Pacific (APAC) markets
  • Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital asset regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with payments integration and contract management systems
  • Experience using negotiation tools such as DocuSign
  • Understanding of compliance standards specific to fintech
  • Experience working with fintech partnerships and ecosystems
