Overview
The organization is seeking a talented attorney and experienced people manager to join the Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal Team. This role leads the team supporting the rapidly expanding Americas enterprise business.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Sales leaders operating regionally and globally, partnering with leadership across Legal and other business segments to accelerate enterprise cloud adoption and help customers scale securely and unlock value from the company’s Cloud platform and System of Work.
This position reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Global Business Operations Legal Team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner for Americas Region leaders across all sales segments and contribute as a member of the regional and global extended Sales leadership teams.
- Lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice for customer-facing commercial matters in the region, including management of U.S. public sector and Latin American operations and programs.
- Partner closely with Sales leaders at all levels and collaborate with cross-functional business leaders across Finance, Trust & Security, Commerce, Channel & GTM Ecosystems, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Support compliance in day-to-day Americas activities by providing training and counseling to sales professionals and driving compliance initiatives.
- Manage and develop a growing team of 15+ seasoned attorneys.
- Oversee budget management, coordinate external counsel, set goals, provide metric reporting, and plan how to deliver efficient, scalable legal support for a rapidly expanding and evolving business.
- Lead key Legal team projects supporting cloud and AI transformation efforts, from stakeholder engagement and brainstorming through roadmaps, change management, execution, ROI measurement, and results communication.
- Participate in the Commercial & GBO Legal Team leadership, including team planning (long-term growth plans, OKRs) and managing strategic priorities.

On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You To Have
- 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least eight years practicing as an in-house lawyer (preferably for a multinational, publicly-listed company).
- 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
- In depth knowledge of commercial and contract law gained through law firm work and/or in-house work on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider.
- Experience with other legal fields including government contracting, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection law is an additional benefit.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
- JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of at least one state Bar.
Compensation & Benefits
The role includes base pay within one of three geographic pay zones in the United States, depending on location:
- Zone A: $300,600 - $392,450
- Zone B: $270,540 - $353,205
- Zone C: $249,498 - $325,734
Base pay is set based on skills, knowledge, and experience within the applicable range. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Location
Hiring may be available in any country where the organization has a legal entity. Employees can choose to work in an office, from home, or a combination of both.
