Overview

This role is for a talented attorney and experienced people manager to lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team within the Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal function. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Sales leaders operating regionally and globally and collaborate across Legal and other business teams to accelerate enterprise cloud adoption.

This position reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Global Business Operations Legal Team.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Americas Region leaders across all sales segments and contribute as a member of regional and global extended Sales leadership teams.
  • Lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice on customer-facing commercial matters in the region, including management of U.S. public sector and Latin American operations and programs.
  • Work closely with Sales leaders at all levels and partner with cross-functional business leaders across Finance, Trust & Security, Commerce, Channel & GTM Ecosystems, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Support compliance in day-to-day Americas activities, including training and counseling sales professionals and driving compliance initiatives.
  • Manage and develop a growing team of 15+ seasoned attorneys.
  • Lead budget management, coordinate external counsel, set goals, deliver metric reporting, and support organizational planning to provide efficient, scalable legal support for a rapidly expanding and evolving business.
  • Lead key Legal team projects supporting cloud and AI transformation efforts, from stakeholder engagement and project roadmap development through change management, execution, measuring ROI, and communicating results.
  • Participate in the Commercial & GBO Legal Team leadership, including team planning, building long-term growth plans, setting team OKRs, and managing strategic priorities.

On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You To Have

  • 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least eight years practicing as an in-house lawyer (preferably for a multinational, publicly-listed company).
  • 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract law from working in a law firm and/or in-house on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider.
  • Experience in other legal fields such as government contracting, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection is an additional benefit.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of at least one state Bar.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay is set within the range for the applicable geographic pay zone.
  • For this role in the United States, current base pay ranges for new hires are:
    • Zone A: $300,600 - $392,450
    • Zone B: $270,540 - $353,205
    • Zone C: $249,498 - $325,734
  • This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
