Overview
The organization is seeking an attorney and experienced people manager to lead the Americas enterprise business legal team within its Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal Team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Sales leaders operating regionally and globally, and partner with Legal and other business leaders to accelerate enterprise cloud adoption. You will help customers scale securely and unlock value from the organization’s cloud platform and System of Work.
This position reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Global Business Operations Legal Team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner for Americas Region leaders across all sales segments and contribute as a member of regional and global extended Sales leadership teams.
- Lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice for customer-facing commercial matters in the region, including management of U.S. public sector and Latin American operations and programs.
- Partner closely with Sales leaders and cross-functional leaders including Finance, Trust & Security, Commerce, Channel & GTM Ecosystems, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Support compliance in day-to-day Americas activities by providing training and counseling to sales professionals and driving compliance initiatives.
- Manage and develop a team of 15+ seasoned attorneys.
- Lead budget management, coordinate external counsel, set goals, deliver metric reporting, and support organizational planning to provide efficient and scalable legal support for a rapidly expanding and evolving business.
- Lead key Legal team projects that support cloud and AI transformation efforts, from stakeholder engagement and roadmap development through change management, execution, ROI measurement, and results communication.
- Participate in Commercial & GBO Legal Team leadership planning, including building long-term growth plans, setting team OKRs, and managing strategic priorities.

On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You To Have
- 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least eight years practicing as an in-house lawyer (preferably for a multinational, publicly-listed company).
- 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract law from law firm and/or in-house experience on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider. Expertise in other legal fields like government contracting, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection law is an additional benefit.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
- JD from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of at least one state Bar.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Ranges (United States)
Base pay ranges for new hires in each geographic pay zone are:
- Zone A: $300,600 - $392,450
- Zone B: $270,540 - $353,205
- Zone C: $249,498 - $325,734
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
