Overview
This role is for an attorney and experienced people manager to lead the Americas Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team within the Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal Team. The position supports a rapidly expanding enterprise business across the Americas, partnering with senior Sales leaders and collaborating with Legal and cross-functional business stakeholders to help accelerate enterprise cloud adoption and enable secure customer scaling.
This role reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Global Business Operations Legal Team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a business partner for Americas Region leaders across all sales segments and contribute to regional and global extended Sales leadership teams.
- Lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team by providing practical, business-oriented legal advice for customer-facing commercial matters in the region, including management of U.S. public sector and Latin American operations and programs.
- Partner with Sales leaders across all levels and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Trust & Security, Commerce, Channel & GTM Ecosystems, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Support compliance in day-to-day Americas activities by providing training and counseling to sales professionals and driving compliance initiatives.
- Manage and develop a growing team of 15+ attorneys.
- Handle budget management, coordinate external counsel, set goals, provide metric reporting, and plan organizational processes to deliver efficient, scalable legal support.
- Lead key Legal team projects supporting cloud and AI transformation efforts, from stakeholder engagement and project roadmap development through change management, execution, measuring ROI, and communicating results.
- Participate in Commercial & GBO Legal Team leadership activities including long-term growth planning, setting team OKRs, and managing strategic priorities.

On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You To Have
- 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least eight years practicing as an in-house lawyer (preferably for a multinational, publicly-listed company).
- 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract law based on working in a law firm and/or in-house on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider; expertise in other legal fields like government contracting, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection law is an additional benefit.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
- JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of at least one state Bar.

This role may be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
Pay Ranges (United States)
- Zone A: $300,600 - $392,450
- Zone B: $270,540 - $353,205
- Zone C: $249,498 - $325,734

Location
- This role is available in the United States across three geographic pay zones (Zone A, Zone B, Zone C).
- Hybrid work is supported, with options to work in an office, from home, or a combination of both.
