Overview

This role is part of the Commercial & Global Business Operations (GBO) Legal Team, supporting the organization’s rapidly expanding enterprise business across the Americas. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior Sales leaders operating regionally and globally, and collaborate with leaders across Legal and other business functions to accelerate enterprise cloud adoption.

You will also act as a thought leader for how legal support is delivered across commercial endeavors, helping shape and implement innovation in legal processes and service delivery.

This position reports directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & Global Business Operations Legal Team.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a business partner for Americas Region leaders across all sales segments, and contribute as a member of regional and global extended Sales leadership teams.
  • Lead the Americas-based Enterprise Sales & International Operations Legal team, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice for customer-facing commercial matters in the region, including management of U.S. public sector and Latin American operations and programs.
  • Partner closely with Sales leaders at all levels and collaborate with cross-functional business leaders, including Finance, Trust & Security, Commerce, Channel & GTM Ecosystems, Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Support compliance in day-to-day Americas activities, including training and counseling sales professionals and driving compliance initiatives.
  • Manage and develop a team of 15+ seasoned attorneys.
  • Lead budget management, coordinate external counsel, set goals, produce metric reporting, and plan organizational needs to deliver efficient, scalable legal support for a rapidly expanding and evolving business.
  • Lead key Legal projects supporting cloud and AI transformation efforts, from stakeholder engagement and brainstorming through roadmap development, change management, execution, ROI measurement, and results communication.
  • Participate in Commercial & GBO Legal Team leadership, including team planning, long-term growth planning, setting team OKRs, and managing strategic priorities.

On Your First Day, We’ll Expect You To Have

  • 15+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with at least eight years practicing as an in-house lawyer (preferably for a multinational, publicly-listed company).
  • 3+ years of management experience with legal teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and contract law from working in a law firm and/or in-house on complex technology transactions for a software and/or cloud services provider.
  • Expertise in other legal fields (government contracting, intellectual property, privacy, and data protection law) is an additional benefit.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment with remote, global, and cross-functional teams.
  • JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing of at least one state Bar.

This role is eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Pay Ranges (United States)

Base pay ranges for new hires in each geographic pay zone:

  • Zone A: $300,600 - $392,450
  • Zone B: $270,540 - $353,205
  • Zone C: $249,498 - $325,734

Location

  • United States (geographic pay zone assigned based on location).
