Overview

A leading SaaS technology company is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join their growing Global Employment Team. This role will primarily support the EMEA region, with a focus on France, while also contributing to global employment law initiatives and projects. The position involves partnering closely with the People Team, business stakeholders, and other legal colleagues to provide comprehensive employment law advice and support.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice on all employment law matters including recruiting, hiring, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodations, terminations, compensation, harassment, discrimination, internal investigations, restrictive covenants, and wage and hour issues across the EMEA region.
  • Stay current on employment law developments in the region and assist with compliance implementation in collaboration with the People Team and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and roll out employment templates, policies, and procedures to ensure best practices and legal compliance.
  • Create customized training materials on various employment law topics.
  • Draft, review, and advise on employee-related documents such as employment agreements and separation agreements.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions activities and international expansion efforts within the region.
  • Identify employment law risks and opportunities, partnering with the People Team and stakeholders to establish policies and procedures that manage risk and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other legal teams and departments to support global projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Paris, France.
  • Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience specializing in employment law.
  • Expertise in French employment law with experience across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
  • In-house experience at a multinational corporation is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with legal, HR, and business teams.
  • Practical, business-oriented approach to complex employment law issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
  • Passionate about employment law and committed to staying updated on legal developments.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting global employment law initiatives.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions from an employment law perspective.
