Overview

A leading organization in the Enterprise Technology sector is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial to join their team. This role involves supporting high-impact work that directly contributes to business performance and team success. The position requires collaboration across functions to advance priorities, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable outcomes. It offers the opportunity to influence both strategic direction and day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Remote (U.S. based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available)

Compensation: $185,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Design AI-enabled legal workflows to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Advise on legal implications related to AI, data use, and automation
  • Provide clear guidance on regulatory risks to senior leadership
  • Identify and strategize around emerging legal challenges
  • Build strong relationships across the organization and support team knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of in-house legal experience within a technology or SaaS company
  • Proven track record in leading high-stakes commercial negotiations
  • Strong understanding of marketing, intellectual property, or privacy law
  • Experience with AI tools for legal operations and automation
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly
  • Sound judgment to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively
  • Collaborative approach with the capability to influence across teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Familiarity with contract negotiation tools
  • Experience using AI tools for legal operations
  • Knowledge of data protection compliance tools
  • Proficiency with legal research software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
  • Experience with contract management systems (e.g., DocuSign, Coupa)
  • Use of cloud storage platforms
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams)
  • Ability to utilize data analysis tools (e.g., data visualization software)
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello)
