Overview
A global cybersecurity organization is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel, Employment to provide strategic and practical employment law advice across a global operation. This role will primarily focus on the United States and EMEA regions while contributing to scalable global employment law frameworks. The position involves close partnership with the People team and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage internal investigations related to employee complaints, workplace conduct, and policy violations, advising on remediation efforts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including complex hiring, performance management, executive compensation, and sensitive terminations.
- Collaborate with the People team and internal stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate employment-related risks.
- Develop, review, and implement employment policies, practices, and frameworks that scale globally while considering local legal requirements.
- Support the Lead Employment Counsel on complex or high-risk matters, including escalations, sensitive employee issues, and strategic initiatives.
- Work with outside counsel as needed, managing costs and outcomes effectively.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with 6+ years of employment law experience.
- Strong knowledge of US employment law and experience advising on key frameworks such as non-competes, separations, disability claims, and recruiting.
- Demonstrated sound and practical business judgment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, action-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsive with a service-focused approach.
- Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
- Minimum of 4 years of in-house legal experience at a technology company.
- Experience working closely with People teams in EMEA and/or other jurisdictions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global employment law frameworks and cross-jurisdictional issues.

- Base salary range: $176,000 to $215,000 USD (varies by candidate location; some locations may have different pay ranges).
