Senior Managing Counsel, Commercial Transactions (Remote)

Overview

A leading organization in the Finance & Insurance sector is seeking a Senior Managing Counsel for Commercial Transactions. This remote role, open to US-based candidates only (no visa sponsorship available), involves providing business-aligned legal guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management within a regulated financial services environment. Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements
• Provide business-oriented legal advice on technology and privacy contracts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to drive efficient transaction completion
• Develop contract templates, playbooks, and process improvements
• Anticipate legal issues and propose innovative solutions
• Align business objectives with legal frameworks in regulated sectors
• Navigate ambiguity and support emerging business models

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with active bar membership in good standing
• Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, preferably in-house or at a mid- to large-sized law firm
• Expertise in commercial contracting, privacy, technology, or regulated industries
• Experience working with corporate parent companies and affiliated entities
• Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on collaboration and mentoring

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range: $151,700 – $220,000
