Overview

A nationally recognized immigration law firm specializing in business immigration is seeking a Senior Paralegal with experience in high-volume non-immigrant visa (NIV) case types including H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, and RFE processing. This is a permanent, full-time remote position based in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Independently analyze information and documents to prepare and compile immigration petitions and applications for attorney review.
  • Manage client and foreign national communications regarding case processing and status for key accounts.
  • Review documents for validity and analyze immigration status based on submitted materials.
  • Draft case documents, statutory forms, and templated letters of support for NIV and immigrant visa (IV) applications.
  • Track project deadlines and workload independently.
  • Identify and flag potential case-related issues to attorneys or senior case managers promptly.
  • Review visa petitions prepared by less experienced paralegal staff as needed.
  • Use online immigration case tracking systems to monitor case status and activities daily.
  • Draft timely responses to requests for evidence (RFEs).
  • Coordinate with Client Support Specialists for printing, scanning, and posting of cases and service requests.
  • Respond to client communication requests, including direct contact with foreign nationals.
  • Prioritize daily workload based on fluctuating client deadlines while maintaining urgency.
  • Contribute positively to team morale, especially in a remote work environment.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of experience as an immigration paralegal, specifically drafting complex matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree completed is highly desirable.
  • Genuine interest in U.S. immigration with an empathetic approach to clients and foreign nationals.
  • Experience drafting complex NIV visas such as H, L, TN, and O visa applications preferred.
  • Experience managing a high volume of active and inactive cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including strong spelling and grammar.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
  • Experience communicating directly with HR staff and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload effectively.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to adapt to specialized case processing software.
  • Ability to follow due process, templates, and adapt to evolving industry innovations.
  • Minimum intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).
  • Friendly, courteous, and respectful demeanor with strong teamwork skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range: $50,000 - $80,000
